StageArt is committed to providing a platform for young artists to express themselves through dance, theater, and music. We believe in the power of creative collaboration and the importance of youth voices in the performing arts.
About Us
StageArt Team
Our ensemble is composed of eight dedicated young dancers, each bringing their unique perspective and energy to the group. Under the mentorship of our experienced choreographer and founder of the Dance&Physics program Lara Selvaggi, we collaborate to create original works that challenge and inspire.
Creative Process
StageArt develops performance through collaboration, research, and rehearsal. Ballet, contemporary movement, theatre, and stagecraft are brought together so each performer can contribute creatively while building technique, confidence, and presence on stage.

I love dancing because it gives me a moment to be fully with myself: focused, relaxed, and full of adrenaline just before stepping on stage. It’s my passion and where I express my trust self.
My passion for dance and my instinct to explore led me to create Stage Art, based on a reverse approach: learning movements through choreography rather than the other way around.
Recently, I also began teaching my own private ballet class, a deeply fulfilling experience that made me realise how natural and joyful sharing knowledge feels to me.

Gea started dancing at the age of four at the Ballettschule für das Opernhaus in Zurich and she always shown an incredible passion interpreting her characteers despite her age.
She already performed as soloist on the stage when she was only eight years old and her interpretations were always so intense.
In her words: "when there is something in my mind I don't want to say anyone, I'll tell it to the dance... dancing!"

Olivia started dancing at the age of six and quickly developed a strong interest in movement and performance. She later focused on artistic gymnastics, where she trains regularly and continues to develop strength, flexibility, and coordination.
Since 2025, Olivia has been part of StageArt, where she enjoys combining dance with elements from gymnastics.
She loves expressing her energy and creativity through movement and is excited to perform on stage.

Gemma started dancing at the age of four and quickly developed a love for ballet. Since August 2024, she has been training at Ballettschule für das Opernhaus Zurich, where she particularly enjoys character dance classes.
She currently attends two ballet classes per week and is preparing for her first RAD examination. In addition to ballet, she also enjoys seasonal figure skating. She loves dancing with her friends and performing on stage.

Emma started dancing at the age of four and developed a strong passion for performing arts. Alongside ballet, she has been engaged in synchronized swimming, gaining experience in a competitive aquatic discipline.
She also enjoys drama and piano, and has participated in performances and showcases from an early age.
